About The Team
John is the creator of Home Grown Cow, leading the Home Grown Cow team in its mission of bringing farmers and consumers together and driving the company's vision, strategy and growth. A strong proponent of innovation, he is enjoying the challenge of bringing new ideas to a very traditional marketplace.
John Aikman - CEO
Prior to Home Grown Cow, John spent 15 years contributing to the building of two start-ups, MindSpring (now EarthLink) and Acceller, both of which became leaders in their fields. An early member of both companies, John thrives on starting from scratch, hands-on and grass-roots business development, and working in dynamic start-up environments. John is accomplished at relationship management and liaising between technical and non-technical business teams.
With a good deal of his childhood spent on his family's farm in the Italian Alps, and now living in rural Wisconsin, John feels a kinship with small-scale farmers and is inspired to support them and their way of life.
John holds a BA degree from the University of Warwick in England. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife Karen and their two daughters.
Karen Aikman - Chief Operations OfficerKaren is Home Grown Cow's Chief Operations Officer. Possessing solid and successful management experience, Karen is responsible for Business Development, Corporate Communications and Tactical Planning and Development at Home Grown Cow, and will oversee the growth of all internal processes.
Karen is extremely results-oriented and brings extensive business experience including establishing and leading the Customer Service Department and managing the Network Services Project Management Team for a national Internet service provider. She has also held various elected positions including Chair of a Non-Profit Board of Trustees and City Government posts.
Karen was educated at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the School of Economics.
Dom Lindars - Board Advisor
Dom is an experienced executive with a passion for technology, marketing and innovation. Mainly focused in SaaS and enterprise software, he has over 20 years of product development, marketing and sales experience with many large technology companies in a range of roles including product management and business operations.
While he has been a CEO, building a business from scratch and raising venture capital, his main focus has remained on creating and marketing amazing products. As a product architect, Dom has worked to take products from their inception through to market and take existing product lines to new heights. All while keeping a sustained focus on market intelligence, customer needs, scalable architectures, ease of use and installation, deep product knowledge and broad external evangelism. He has also led corporate, product and operational Marketing teams, held significant P&L responsibilities and gained considerable financial expertise.
Cliff Bryant - Business DevelopmentCliff is responsible for Business Development at Home Grown Cow. With over twenty years of experience as an accomplished and results driven B2B sales and business development professional (including M&A) he is perfectly suited for identifying and developing new farmer relationships for Home Grown Cow.
Cliff has worked in diverse environments ranging from Fortune 50 companies such as ExxonMobil to startups including MindSpring Enterprises and thoroughly enjoys working in a small dynamic team where everyone's effort makes a daily difference.
Cliff holds an MBA from James Madison University and lives in Colorado with his wife and daughter.
